My Mom often said
I could find the loophole
in everything.
Because there IS
a loophole
with every agreement,
an exception
in every situation.
Restrictions aren’t very limiting
if you have a healthy imagination
and being forced to deal
with them
often makes your solutions unique.
That’s often a GREAT thing.
On an episode of Oprah’s Master Class,
Barbara Walters talked about
how some of her male co-anchors
didn’t want to acknowledge her
as a co-anchor.
One male co-anchor
had it written into his contract
that HE chose the people
to interview
and HE asked all of the questions.
Barbara Walters was frustrated
but
“no one had said
I couldn’t go after
my own important interviews,
and do them outside of the studio.
Therefore, that’s what I did.”
Having to do things differently
made her interviews different
which made them stand out.
If you’re creative,
there is a way
to accomplish almost everything.
And being forced
to be creative
will ensure your way is unique.
