I’m revising a story
I published years ago.
I’m changing it
to fit into the world
I’m currently building
and tweaking it
so it represents
how I now write.
I thought revising a story
many readers loved
would be faster
than writing a new story.
It isn’t.
It is more work,
MUCH more work.
I don’t regret revising this story
(it is the first of four
I plan to revise).
I DO regret
not scheduling more time
to revise it.
Rework can take
longer than
creating from nothing.
It might still be worth it
but factor in the time.
