I see it in
the Romance Novel Business
all the time
– employee thinking
coming from potential business builders.
What is the minimum word count
for a best selling story?
What are the minimal
reader expectations?
What is the least
amount of marketing
a writer has to do?
Then these business builders
will post,
complaining about
their readerships (customer base)
not growing.
““What’s required here?”
is the question
we were taught to ask.
This is the loyal employee
and the reliable cog,
meeting spec.
“What is the opportunity here?”
is a totally different question.
It’s about contribution
and forward motion,
not simply compliance.”
Meeting the customer’s
minimal expectations
is merely the starting point.
Business builders
do more.
