A writer recently
went on a public rant
about how
reviews with spelling and grammar errors
drive her up the wall.
Reviews are written
by readers,
by her customers.
If they could write
as well as she could,
they’d likely be her competition,
not her customers.
I’ve heard of cover designers
who ridiculed
their clients’ mock ups,
a food scientist
who fumed
about his client’s knowledge
of food science,
a computer programmer
who made fun
of his client’s coding.
The customer/client’s lack of knowledge
about your area of expertise
is a GOOD thing.
It is why they’re happily paying you.
Don’t expect customers/clients
to have the same level
of expertise
as you do.
