I was listening today
to survey results
for the major banks.
The survey company
also listed results
for niche banks.
The spokesperson said
those niche banks
would never score highly
in the survey
because they didn’t offer
all of the same services.
One of my buddies
was fuming yesterday
because her Amazon only book
wasn’t mentioned
in a discussion on a huge blog.
The books mentioned
were available at all booksellers.
If you’re building a niche business,
it is less likely your business
will be mentioned on general sites,
do well in general surveys,
or win general awards.
Focus on your niche target market.
