A great tear jerker romance novel
is recommended more often
than a great humorous romance novel.
Why?
Because almost everyone finds
the same things sad
( a key character dying, a breakup, etc)
while humor is very different.
A reader might love both stories
but she knows she won’t be judged harshly
for recommending the tear jerker.
