I believe in building businesses.
I believe in financial success
and in independence.
But we can’t have that
if we don’t have any rights.
American women weren’t given
the right
to have a bank account,
for example,
until 1975.
1975.
That’s 47 short years ago.
Some of the men
in power today
remember those times.
They remember how much power
men had over women.
And I would bet
the income of my next book
this is where
women are headed
in the U.S.
if we don’t fight
for EVERY right,
for the right
to control our own bodies
and our lives.
The business building,
the climbing the corporate ladder,
and everything else
pales in comparison.
Because those goals aren’t possible
if we don’t have basic human rights.
Fight.
Fight like your lives
depend upon it.
Because it does.
