Deliver On Your Promises

In a previous post,
I suggested
arranging
dedicated ‘fun’ times
with loved ones
scheduled after
the busy holiday season
is over.

This is ONLY effective
if we KEEP
our promises
and MAKE those precious appointments.

That ‘meeting’ with loved ones
is unbreakable.
Our building could be on fire
and we should still show up
at that appointment.

Because the moment
we break that promise,
our promises become worthless,
any future arrangements
mean nothing,
and
the trust is gone.

As it should be.

If we make arrangements
with loved ones,
we have to
KEEP those appointments.

We should treat our loved ones
as the priority they are.

Making Hay While The Sun Shines

My Farming Grandpa
would often say,
“Ya gotta make hay
while the sun shines.”

When the conditions are right
to do something,
do that something.

For many of us,
the time is currently right
to make sales.

People are looking
for gift ideas.
They’re looking to make
their lives easier
during the busy holiday season.
They’re looking
to treat themselves.

Suggest your product/service.
Put it in front of them.
Be where they are.
Market your face off.

Make hay
while the sun shines.

Send A Reminder

Many people are super busy
right now.
They are overwhelmed
by…everything.

Many people also are suffering
from poor memories
due to COVID
and other factors.

If your customers
ordered one of your products/services
around this time last year,
send them a message
asking them if they need anything
from your company again this year.

Maybe make a few suggestions.

This will
not only
increase YOUR sales.

But it will help them.
They will feel organized
and on top of their lives.

Send a reminder today.

Loved Ones Of Business Builders Should Understand

These next two months
are extremely busy
for many business builders.

For some of us,
Holiday sales
make the difference
between having
a profitable year
and losing money.

I remind all my loved ones
of this fact.

I tell them
they likely won’t see me much
during November and December
and part of January.

I give them ways
to help me
during this time.

If they want to see me,
they know
they’ll be helping
with the business
while they’re doing that.

And I schedule time with them,
fun time,
relaxing time
at the end of January
or early February.

This is our busy time.
Ensure our loved ones
know that.
And ensure they also know
they ARE our loved ones.

Early Holiday Sales

A holiday ornament company
sent me an email
offering me
10% off all products
if I ordered
in September.

I ordered
in September.

They received holiday sales early
and
freed up resources
during the upcoming
busy holiday season.

I was able to order
and not have to worry
about remembering to order
in time
later in the year
AND
I received a discount.

It was a win-win
and all it took
was an email
and a small discount
from this company.

It truly WAS
that easy.

Don’t wait until
the holidays
to drive holiday sales.

Do it now.

Skip The End Of Shift Gatherings

It is tempting
to reward employees
today
with an end of shift
gathering
– drinks or food
or something similar.

Resist that urge.

Employees have been
working long hours.
They’re tired.
They want to go home
to sleep
and/or spend time
with their loved ones.

A better thank you
would be to send them
home
with a small gift
– maybe a sleep mask
and soothing foot cream
or
a board game
they could play
with their families
or
a mug
with a hot chocolate mix.

An after hours
work event
isn’t a reward
when we’ve been working
long hours.

Reward employees
in another way.
