2020 Is A Long Time Ago

I discounted a first story
in a series
to 99 cents
in October 2020.

I’m lowering its price
to free
today.

Normally,
I like to ensure
there is a long gap
between
price decreases.
This lowers the risk
a reader (customer)
will become upset
she paid more.

A new year
immediately makes it
a long gap
in many people’s minds.

That gap could only
be a day
but seeing that different year
will lengthen it
substantially.

This is true
for price decreases
and it is especially true
for employment histories
and resumes.

2020 is a long time ago.
Keep that in mind
when crafting
your strategies.
