Yesterday,
I posted about a friend
who had learned a new job
while she was out of work.
A client k reader,
also out of work,
dismissed this,
saying my friend
had the luxury of not having
to earn cash
while she was out of work.
Yes, she DID have that luxury,
which is why
it only took her 5 months
to learn this new job.
If you only have
5 minutes a day,
instead of her designated 1 hour,
it will take you longer
than 5 months
to achieve her level
of expertise.
But you CAN achieve it
and you DO have the time.
We ALL have 5 minutes.
The average person spends
14.5 minutes a day
sitting on the toilet.
We spend on average
90 minutes a day
merely waiting.
We wait
in lines,
for traffic lights to change,
for other people to arrive.
During this waiting time,
we often have our phones.
We have access to information.
In 5 minutes,
the average person
can read 1 page
of extremely technical information.
We can watch
a short YouTube video.
We can read
an additional blog post
like this one.
We can send an email
to an expert.
We have the time
to learn.
If you truly
want to do this,
you can.
