When I’m in a rut
or my business isn’t progressing
as well as I think it should,
the first thing I look at
is
the people I’m spending time with.
What type of people
am I surrounding myself with?
Are THEY progressing?
Are some of their businesses
where I want my own business
to be?
Their energy, their attitudes
impact my energy, my attitude.
If I change my community
even by adding one more high achiever,
I usually see progression
in my business building.
“Communities of practice
have been written about
for decades,
but they’re being transformed
and amplified
by the persistent
and permeable nature
of the net.
When we surround ourselves
with a community,
it’s inevitable that
it changes our identity.
Too often,
we choose our community
by default.
The social network sucks us in,
or we’re picked for
a certain dodgeball team
or cadre at school.
We have the chance,
though,
to do it with intention
instead.”
Is your community
helping you achieve
what you want to achieve?
If it isn’t,
change it.
