Sticking To Your Routine During Times Of Uncertainty

It might seem silly
to get up at your usual 7 am
to prepare for work
when you’re now working
from home.

What does it matter if
we work 9 to 5
or 12 to 8?
We are working
the same total hours
and
should be able
to complete
the same number
of tasks.

It matters.

It matters to us
emotionally.

Everything around us
seems to be changing.
Often these changes
are out of our control.

We are being tossed about
and have no anchor.

Routine is our anchor.
Routine fixes one part
of our world in place.

It is comforting.
It is the something
on the horizon
we can focus on
when everything else is spinning.

Try to stick
to some sort of routine
during these uncertain times.

It might, must might,
calm your a$$ down
and grant you
more happiness.
