A writer posted yesterday
about how the Corona Virus
was a hoax.
I doubt it is
but hey, it could be.
That’s not the issue.
The issue is,
as a writer,
as a business builder,
people are going to weigh
her opinion
more heavily
than they would treat
someone else’s.
She has earned their trust
in other areas.
They will assume
she has their best interest
at heart.
Someone will act,
or in this case,
not act
on her words.
They could DIE
because she posted
that message.
And for what?
So she can tell others
‘I told you so’
if it does turn out
to be a hoax?
If you’re not an expert
on a specific crisis,
shut the f*ck up.
If you have to say something,
tell people to listen
to the experts.
You’re a business builder.
People trust you.
Be worthy of that trust.
Put their well being over all else.
