Romance writers sell
love, hope and optimism.
That is what
our readers believe
we stand for.
My tone
on social media
reflects this.
I don’t talk about
negative events,
such as the crisis,
unless I can spin them
in a positive, uplifting way.
I post kitten photos
and happy stories about my loved ones
and jokes.
Everyone who comments
is my friend.
I tell people I love them
regularly.
This isn’t fake.
I’m naturally optimistic
and I love making people happy.
But it isn’t all of me either.
I do have sad moments.
I merely don’t post about them.
Because that’s not what
my brand stands for.
“According to
findings from the CEB,
people don’t seem to be
very loyal
to companies
at all.
They are loyal
to what the company
stands for.”
What do you stand for?
Does your marketing
represent that?
