My covers
for my Romance Novels
are awesome.
They fit into the niche,
have the quality
and images
readers expect
yet give those readers
something more.
Other writers assume
I’m paying top price
for my covers.
I’m not
– not for the base price.
My cover designer
is ridiculously inexpensive.
(I DO profit share
voluntarily
with my cover designer
…which will be the topic
of another post.)
And she does amazing things
with $1 common-as-air
pieces of stock art,
creating
one-of-a-kind works of art.
The passion and caring
of the product designer
will almost always
more than offset
lesser quality inputs.
“Some of the greatest buildings
of all time
were created by
unskilled craftsmen
using cheap and readily available
materials.
McMansions,
on the other hand,
are often created by
highly paid workers
and endless supplies of
expensive materials.”
The most important input
when creating awesome products
is passion.
Passion can shape
even the roughest of inputs
into works of art.
