There are many ‘experts’
in the Romance Novel business
who will claim
they can earn their clients
X number of sales.
They want to charge
Y dollars for doing this.
A buddy of mine
usually pushes back
and says she’ll give them
control of her account.
They can have
50% of all increases
in sales.
She has a significant portfolio
of books.
This would be MUCH more
than the Y dollars
they’re charging.
They should be happy
with that deal.
Yet no one
has ever accepted it.
Why?
Because I suspect
the ‘experts’ know
they can’t increase sales
by the amount they claim
they can.

ask me for free merch
I always propose my offer.
They can buy
what they want
and I’ll give them
a coupon code
for them to post.
If the code is used
at least 10 times
in 30 days,
I will refund
their entire purchase + shipping.
No one ever
takes me up on it.”
If people promise sales
yet refuse to be
compensated
based on them,
that’s all it is
– a promise.
