‘Yes’ People

Based on my experience,
the majority of people,
when they ask for advice,
don’t truly want
honest advice.

They want ‘yes’ people.
They want people
to agree with them.

I suspect that’s why
MOST people
aren’t successful.

It takes courage,
confidence,
drive
to hear disagreeing opinions
but that is how
we avoid mistakes
and how
we improve.

“You have to get
advisers around you
and understand that
you don’t know it all.
We chose the right people
to build the team
instead of just getting
a bunch of ‘yes’ people.”

If everyone around you
agrees with you
all the time
(or, heck,
ANY of the time),
you’ve surrounded yourself
with ‘yes’ people.

That is likely
holding you back
from succeeding.
