My first big break out hit
in the Romance Novel Business
happened because
I listened.

I listened to myself.
I was a reader (customer)
of the niche
and I knew what was missing.

I listened to readers.
They also told me
what was missing
in the niche.
Not by outright comments
but by the questions
they asked.

I also listened to the market.
The tone of the entire market
was shifting.
I ‘heard’ that shift.
