There is nothing wrong
with asking different groups
of people
for advice.
This is a great strategy
…IF different people
are in these groups.
It is a terrible strategy
if you are asking different groups
consisting of mostly the same people
for the same advice.
The Romance Novel Industry
is quite small.
Most experienced writers belong
to the same groups.
When someone asks a question,
I consider answering it
(if I can add value)
unless I see that someone
has asked the question
in dozens or more
of these groups.
Then I consider it spam
and don’t answer.
I’ve noticed that most
of the experienced writers,
the writers the original poster
likely WANTS advice from,
don’t answer.
If you ask a question
in multiple groups,
ensure the groups
consist of different people.
