Do You Want Interaction With Your Marketing?

This might seem like
a question with an obvious
answer.
We all want interaction
with our marketing, right?
Interaction builds engagement,
which often leads to buying.

But ask many business builders
and their answer would be different.
They don’t have time for interaction.
They don’t want chatty comments
from prospects
on their social media
marketing posts.
They don’t want people/entities
to call them,
ask them more questions.

They want people/businesses
to go straight to buying.

Seth Godin
shares

“There are two kinds
of marketing,
and the gap between them
keeps widening.
You’ll need to choose.

Do marketing to people
or with them…”

There are ways to craft
your marketing message
for either result.

When I post in Facebook groups,
for example,
I ask a question
that doesn’t have anything
to do directly with my product.
I’ll ask something like
“What has been your favorite book
of the year
thus far?”
That tells prospects
they can talk to me…about anything.
I WANT interaction.

Other writers merely
share their book covers, blurbs
and buy links.
The only action they want
readers to take
is to buy their books.

Decide if you WANT
interaction with your marketing
and design it
with your decision in mind.
