Today is Mother’s Day
in North America.
This is a great marketing opportunity,
especially if your target customer
is female.
Almost everyone has/had a mother.
Many women ARE mothers.
Some people, however,
have had bad experiences
with mothers.
If this is you,
you might still be tempted
to promote around Mother’s Day.
Consider keeping it positive.
Yes, there is a small group
of people
who share your experience,
who have had
bad mother experiences.
But there’s a much larger group
who have had positive experiences
and they won’t react well
to negativity around mothers
on Mother’s Day.
Messages don’t have to be happy
on Mother’s Day.
Many people have lost their mothers.
But the messages should be
mother positive.
Mother’s Day is NOT the best time
to publicly complain
about your mother.
