Today, April Fool’s Day,
is one of my least favorite
days of the year.
It is the day
many businesses,
businesses that
spend the rest of the year
trying to earn trust,
destroy it.
Customer trust
is a fragile,
valuable thing.
It takes many transactions
to build
yet one wrong word,
one bad interaction
can demolish it.
Once it has been demolished,
it is VERY difficult to regain.
If you DO
play an April Fool’s joke
on customers today,
ensure it doesn’t damage
their trust in your brand.
Trust is a valuable thing.
Safeguard it.
