If You Must Market Every Day

At my stage
in the Romance Novel Business,
I have to promote my books
almost every day
via social media
or I see a dip in sales.

But some days,
I’m in an irritable mood.
I can’t deal with
the usual 3 or 4 people
who complain bitterly
about everything I post
yet follow me anyway.

So I have set posts crafted
ahead of time,
crafted when I’m in
a better mood.
I drop them and run.
I get the f*ck off social media.

Yes, I will interact with prospects
but I’ll wait until
I’m in a better mood
to do that.

I might lose a couple of sales
with the delay
but I’m not turning off prospects
for life
like I would do
if I interacted with them
while in a bad mood.

No interaction
is better than a bad interaction.

If you’re in a bad mood,
get the h*ll off
the internet.
