Recently I received
a flurry of messages
from ‘fans’ of my stories,
claiming to be upset
that I was writing
ONLY curvy heroines.
They were trolls
because any true fan
would know
I write a variety of
heroine body types.
But if I DID only write
curvy heroines,
I MIGHT have taken
their messages to heart.
I MIGHT have
changed the way I write.
Which would be a mistake
because any writer
writing only one type of heroine
clearly has built a readership
who loves that type of heroine.
The rest of the readers
can f*ck off.
Before taking advice
from a ‘fan’ or a ‘customer’
seriously,
verify she IS
a ‘fan’ or a ‘customer.’
If she lies about that,
well,
she’s not someone
I would ever take advice from.
