I have two more years left
in my Romance Novel Business plan
before maintaining healthy levels
of income
SHOULD get much easier.
Because that’s what
should happen.
The resources invested now
should be exactly that – invested.
They should have a return
later in the cycle.
I will likely keep working
past that point,
seeking to expand
my readership (customer base)
but some of the books
should sell themselves.
“Too often, though,
we set up our projects
and our freelance life
in a way
that makes it
always an uphill slog.
If you don’t build an asset
and don’t invest
in your reputation,
all you’ve got left
is grunt work.
The hard work is
digging in deeper
than usual
on the uphills
–that’s the best chance
you have to earn a downhill
later.”
In your plan,
does maintaining
a certain level of success
get easier?
It should.
