The Juice Vs Wine Industries

I’m bringing the ingredients
for mimosas to a party
this week.
Mimosas are half Orange Juice,
half Champagne/Sparkling Wine.

There are a gazillion recommendations
for the best
Champagnes/Sparkling Wines
for mimosas.

There are ZERO recommendations
fro the best
Orange Juices.

Orange is the dominant
taste profile
to White Grape
(White Grape is often used
as a filler juice.
It doesn’t change the flavor.).

The Orange Juice would have
more of an impact
on the mimosa’s taste
than the Sparkling Wine/Champagne.

Yet the types of orange juice
to be used
aren’t specified.
Why?
Because there are only a couple
of large orange juice companies.

They give us what they give us,
not specifying the source of the oranges
or the date they were harvested
(the two things that most determine
the taste of the orange juice).

Not specifying those things
gives these huge companies flexibility.
They want to be able to interchange them
so they make the consumer believe
they are interchangeable.

If you want the ability
to change a product input,
make prospects/customers believe
that input isn’t worth caring about.
