James Gunn,
a director,
was recently fired
from his latest film project
by Disney for some vile tweets
he made years ago.
I suspect if he had known
he’d, one day,
want to work
for a kid-friendly company,
he wouldn’t have made those tweets.
The internet is forever.
Everything is recorded
and posted.
Whatever we do or say now
will be seen and heard
by other people
until we die
(and likely past death).
Today,
for example,
it may seem acceptable
to post racist or sexist comments.
Thirty years from now,
based on projected demographics,
those comments will be condemned.
The number of people
willingly to partner with
overt racists or sexists will be few.
What you do today
will affect your future.
Remember that.
