If I’m uncertain
about the demand for a type of story,
I’ll post about it on Facebook first.
I don’t say I am the person
writing it
because my friends tend to support
even my wildest ideas.
I’ll say I saw that type of story
promoted
(being deliberately vague).
That gives me more honest feedback.
“To ensure
there was U.S. demand
for a hangover cure,
[Sisun] Lee
[Founder of 82 Labs]
created thehangoverdrink.com,
posted pictures of a fake product,
and pitched it on Facebook.
After a few dozen orders came in,
he decided to start production
—and refunded those early buyers.”
Test to see if there is demand
before creating the product.
