Making Decisions Is Work

I was asked to be part
of a charity project.

I told the organizer
I hadn’t the time
for it.

She told me
I wouldn’t have to do
anything.

Great.
I was in!

Every day, she asks participants
to make decisions.
Decide between this background
or that background,
this text or that text.
If I don’t offer my insights,
she tracks me down
and asks me directly.

She believes she’s doing
all the ‘work.’
What she doesn’t realize is
making a decision IS work.
It requires time and thought
and input.

Doing ALL the work
also means
making ALL the decisions.
