Wanting To Do More

My goal is to become
a better writer
with each book.

I’m not doing this
to sell more product.
I’m not doing this
because someone else demands it.

I’m doing this
because I WANT to do this.
I WANT to do more
than is required.
I WANT to become the best writer
I can be.

And readers (customers) have noticed this.
Increasing sales
by becoming a better writer
might not have been my primary goal
but it HAS happened.

Seth Godin
shares

“…extraordinary contribution
is rare.

It’s when we surprise the system,
and perhaps ourselves,
by showing up
with something unexpected,
far beyond the common standard.

Extraordinary contribution
creates careers.”

When choosing the business
you wish to build,
consider whether or not
you want to improve
one aspect of the business,
uncaring if it results in sales.

That might influence
whether or not
that business is successful.
