There will always be people
who believe
if something
doesn’t impact them directly,
it must be a hoax.
No one they cared about
died of COVID.
It must be a hoax.
No one they knew
walked on the moon.
The moon landing
must be a hoax.
They’ve never
circled the planet
completely.
It must be flat.
There is no arguing
with these people
because their stance
is entirely based
on their own personal experience.
You won’t change that
unless you inflict them
with COVID
or send them to the moon
or arrange for them
to circle the planet.
And I suspect
if you DID arrange that,
they would refuse
to cooperate.
“…there are no good
conspiracy theories,
because they are attractive
precisely because
they’re unproven,
imprecise
and non-falsifiable.
They’re not actually
theories at all.
They use confusion
to create a sense of
comfort and control
when it’s in short supply.”
There is no convincing
a conspiracy theorist
they are wrong.
If you need to do that
to sell your product/service
to them,
seek another prospect.
