I release a book
every two months.
I alternate between
two series.
My stories have
a certain tone.
They have a certain structure,
a certain length,
a certain wording.
I’m very consistent
and that is reassuring
for readers (customers).
They know what they’re getting.
They know I’ve written the story.
This has, interestingly,
become a selling point
for me and my stories.
Many writers
are now outsourcing
the writing of their stories.
Their stories, their voice, the structure
have become inconsistent.
Readers notice this
and many of them
don’t like the change.
And it is happening
more and more often.
Consistency is becoming
the exception,
not the norm.
That makes it rare
and rare usually aligns
with valuable.
“Remaining trusted and consistent
will become ever more valuable
as it becomes more scarce.”
Consistency in all things
can be boring.
Consistency in some things,
however,
can be extremely valuable.
Make consistency
work for you
and your business.
