Faking It Is Challenging

Many of the closet racists
on my social media timelines
are exposing themselves.

They are worried about
a pandemic,
have been in self-isolation,
are concerned about
the economy,
scared about other crisis.

All of this
has caused
their sense of caution
to erode.

So they’re revealing
their true selves.

They are losing
friends,
customers,
business partners,
jobs,
not only for their racist stances
but also because
they’ve been lying
about who they are.

Faking it is VERY difficult,
especially faking it
for a long period
of time.

When you present
a personae/branding to the world,
try to keep it
as genuine as possible.

It is easier
and more maintainable
over the long run.
