The Right Guide For This Moment

Our world has shifted.
Tremendously.

I suspect it will
continue to shift,
though hopefully
more slowly.

It is a good time
to re-evaluate
our plans, our goals,
our mentors.

Because the guide we had
in 2019
might not be the best guide
for the rest of 2020.

As Seth Godin
shares

“…a home cook
who’s used to
the unlimited aisles
of the modern supermarket
isn’t sure what to do
when there’s not much
to choose from.

An Italian grandmother
is a better guide
in that moment.

When we have alternatives,
we compromise
instead of commit.

Find someone
who has already optimized
for the reality
you’re about to enter
and learn from them.”

But…but…but
we don’t know anyone
who has been through
something similar.

Then that is a sign
we should expand
or diversify the people
we know
because there ARE people
in this huge, varied, wonderful world
who have been through
something similar.

Ask the people you know
if THEY know someone
who can help you
and your business.

When the terrain changes,
your guide often changes.
Ensure you have the right mentors
for the moment.
