This is an icky topic
but here at client k,
we tackle the icky topics.
Due to the crisis,
there are more deaths
than usual
occurring every day
AND
we are all a bit stressed
and not thinking clearly.
That means we might not handle
the deaths
with the thoughtfulness
we might usually
extend to them.
Especially if we don’t like
the dead person.
Someone well known has died.
He was human,
which means he consisted
of the good and the bad.
You believe the bad
outweighs the good.
Think before you share that opinion.
Why?
Because even if the recipient
agrees with you,
she might find it offensive.
She might have been taught
as I was
to never speak ill of the dead.
It has been reinforced
in literature and other mediums
for centuries.
MANY people
adhere to it.
This doesn’t mean,
of course,
you have to speak well
of the dead.
If the dead person was a bastard,
not speaking of him
at all
likely communicates
what you wish to say.
Think before
speaking ill of the dead.
