The Hope Is To Overreact

In an emergency situation,
every minute, every second
can make a difference.

A moment can be the difference
between success and failure,
and, in some cases,
between life and death.

This is why great leaders plan.
They plan for every situation
that has a possibility of happening
that we can plan for.

Natural disasters,
wars,
pandemics,
etc.
are all things leaders consider.

How would these events
impact the people,
the organizations
they are responsible for?

Then great leaders watch
for the signs
the event might happen.

The greater the likelihood
of it happening
the more people
they relay the plan to.

If leaders tell the plan
to people
and the event doesn’t happen,
they are viewed as overreacting.

The HOPE is to overreact.
The hope is the event
doesn’t happen.

If you’re a great leader
and you’re fortunate,
you will be accused
of overreacting
at some point in your leadership.

That isn’t a bad thing.
