A Facebook party
is being organized
for a book blogger.
I was invited to guest host.
I don’t personally know
this book blogger.
At first,
I was surprised
to get the invitation.
Then I found out
she has read
all of my books.
I might not know her
but she knows me
very well.
We have
a one-sided
yet impactful
relationship
I wasn’t aware
existed.
Of course,
I said yes
to the guest hosting opportunity.
That’s often a strange concept
for business builders
to wrap our brains around.
People, usually our customers,
know us,
might consider us
to be ‘friends’,
to understand them,
and we might not be aware
this relationship exists.
Just because
we don’t know them
doesn’t mean
they don’t know us.
