My Mom,
a Mom to six kids,
Grandmother to four,
LOVES Mother’s Day.
She considers it
to be her holiday.
She loves to
tell everyone
what she received
for Mother’s Day.
And she always worries
she won’t receive
anything.
She worries
this will be the year
everyone
forgets about her.
So I send
her Mother’s Day present
(yellow roses)
the Wednesday
before Mother’s Day.
She can then relax
and truly look forward
to ‘her’ day.
She knows
she will receive
at least one present.
She hasn’t been forgotten.
If possible,
deliver early.
There is very little downside
to this
and there can be
quite a bit of upside.
