I’m currently using
a very simple plan
to grow my Romance Novel Business.
I release 5 books in a series,
linking them all,
making it easy for readers (prospects)
to buy the next book.
I price the first book at free
(giving it away as a sample)
to draw readers (prospects) in.
Then I start a new series,
linking the last book
in the previous series
to the first book
in the new series.
And I repeat the process.
This plan is simple
and it has worked
for many writers.
LeBron James has a very simple
treatment of his money.
“My uncles always taught me
— they taught me
how to have a savings account.
They’d give me a dollar
and they’d be like,
‘Listen, nephew,
go spend 35 cents of it
and keep the other 65.’
Or, if they gave me two dollars,
they’d be like,
‘Go ahead
and spend a dollar of it,
but stash the other dollar.'”
“I’m always in my head
about stashing
and keeping my money sacred
… because I didn’t know
when my uncle was going
to give me another dollar here
and another 50 cents here.”
Often, the simplest plans
are the best plans,
the most ethical plans,
the easiest plans
to follow
and to communicate.
(They aren’t often
exciting or trendy,
however.)
Is your plan simple?
