Assume No One Else Will Take Action

Late at night
on Easter Monday,
a bunny got hit by a car
on the street
near our house.

We live near two primary schools.
The next day,
hundreds of little kids
would be walking past
the site
on their way to school.

Seeing the Easter Bunny
dead on the road
would have been a traumatic experience
for at least some of them.

Yet the driver who hit
the (extremely LARGE) bunny
didn’t stop.

Neighbors walked their dogs
past the bunny.

They didn’t do anything either.

Thankfully, my husband spotted
the (now very dead) bunny
and we removed him.

If there’s a problem
or situation,
assume no one else
will take action.

If someone else
DOES take action,
your burden is shared.

If they don’t,
and that’s the most likely scenario,
at least you’ve done
what should be done.
