Series books are a huge seller
in the Romance Novel Business.
These books are connected.
They usually share
a common world.
Readers read one book
and they anticipate
the next book.
The challenge is…
every reader anticipates
a different next book
and only one of those books
will be the book released.
So writers (business builders)
announce the next book
long in advance
of release.
Readers are initially disappointed
that THEIR character’s book
isn’t next.
But they have an opportunity
to recover.
There’s time
between the disappointment
and the next book’s release.
And over many following teasers
about the next book,
the cover reveals,
the blurb reveals,
the snippets of the story,
these readers start to anticipate
and then NEED that next book.
By the time
the book releases,
almost all of the readers
should be aligned
in wanting it.

(this entire post
is a must read
for business builders)
“Any idea
that needs to move
from early adopters
to the masses
can benefit from a preview
that simultaneously
delights the nerds
while warming up
the masses
for what’s to come.”
Sometimes innovation
benefits from being
foreshadowed.
Consider if early announcements
would work for your products/services.
