There are two major groups
of writers
(business builders)
in the Romance Novel Business.
There are the writers
who are there
for the short term.
They write what is hot now.
They are all about
satisfying
the existing customer base,
not growing it.
They don’t care about
the niche
because they don’t plan
to be there for very long.
They use tactics
that work in the short term,
not necessarily in the long term.
The other group
are writers
who are there
for the long term.
They are looking
to grow their niches.
They protect
those niches
because they plan
to be writing in them
for decades
and they want them
to remain healthy.
They evaluate tactics
on both their short term
and long term effectiveness.
These are two VERY different
business models.
One is not better than the other
but one is likely better
for YOU.
Know the time frame
of the business you’re building.
That will influence
almost everything you do.
