Maintain Your Unique Style

One of the biggest mistakes
I made in the Romance Novel Business
was allowing publishers and editors
to change my unique style.

My unique style
was what got them interested
in me and my writing
in the first place.
It is what makes
my books stand out.

But then they got lazy.
They thought
it would be easier
to sell my books (my products)
if they were more like
someone else’s books.

There was already
that someone else
writing and selling books.

Why would anyone
read MY books,
instead of hers?

I allowed
the editors and publishers
to erase what made me
special
which eliminated
my reason for being.

Madison Cork,
founder of
Cork Communications,
shares

“It is imperative that
women in leadership
maintain their intrinsic style,
while not being afraid
to stand their ground
when they know
they have the best idea
or right path forward.”

Know what
makes you different.
Don’t allow anyone
to erase that.
