Put Yourself In Position

I’m not good looking.
I’m not the smartest person
I’ve ever met.
I’m terrible at public speaking.
I’m certainly not the most talented writer
or the fastest writer
or the most skilled at marketing.

But I work really hard,
I look for opportunities
and I take advantage of them
when I find them.

That has made me successful.

Robin Roberts,
on Oprah’s Master Class,
shares

“But to go onto college,
no one wanted a 5′ 10″ post player
so I had to learn a different position.
I had to learn
how to shoot
from the outside.
I had to put myself
in position
for good things to happen.

If you position yourself
the right way,
you don’t have to be
the tallest, the fastest,
the biggest.

And I was thankfully
able to translate that
to the real world.
Going Ohhh… Okay,
I’m not the prettiest,
I’m not the most this,
I’m not the most that
but if I keep working,
if I keep positioning myself,
good things are going to happen”

Put yourself in position
for success
then ‘take the shot’
when you’re given the opportunity.

If you take enough shots,
you WILL be successful.
