My editor recently told me
that the beginning of my story
was boring.
Yes, boring.
This hurt.
I didn’t think
it was boring.
But I trust her.
She wants me
to make readers (customers) happy
and expand my readership
(customer base).
So I set aside my emotions
and looked at ways
to make the beginning of my story
more exciting.
The new version is
a MUCH better story.
It is a story I’m really proud
to share with the world.
And the story reached this point
because a person I trust
trusted ME to value her honesty.
Ensure you have people
on your team
who will be honest with you,
who will tell you
if you could do better.
It WILL make
the difference
between failure and success.
