on writer’s groups
talking about
how hard 2019 will be
for building readership
and sales.
Some newer writers
are being discouraged
from publishing.
That’s bullsh*t.
Yes, it will be challenging
to gain sales in 2019
(in every industry).
It is ALWAYS challenging
to gain sales.
Yet people and businesses
DO gain sales
every dang day.
And those writers,
other business builders,
so-called experts
don’t know everything about
the business you’re building.
I’m 3 years into a 10 year plan
with one of my pen names.
Some people THINK they know
what I’m doing
(especially as I’ve been semi-successful).
They don’t.
They have no freakin’ clue.
Having no freakin’ clue,
they can’t tell me sh*t about
how 2019 will play out for me.
This IS the best time
to build your business.
Do your thing.
Change the world.
I can’t remember how I stumbled across your website but it was probably about 10 years ago. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for sharing your amazing perspective on writing, marketing and life. Loved so many of your musings.
