I see the posts
all the time on social media.
Kids in XXX are starving.
Schools in YYY don’t have funds
to heat their buildings.
The rain forest is being sold off
and developed.
These posts do a great job
of making people outraged
or sympathetic.
They do a sh*tty job
of prompting people
to take action.
Why?
Because there are rarely
any action steps
suggested.
People pass along
the post
and feel they’re doing something
and nothing actually gets done.
I see businesses doing the same thing.
They talk about how important
a great roof is
and then don’t mention
they repair or install roofs.
If you want people to take action,
give them an action
to take.
