As I mentioned yesterday,
cruises are my preferred form
of vacation.
Recently, I stayed on
the Celebrity Equinox.
Its captain, Captain Kate McCue,
is female.
I saw the female friendly differences
throughout the ship.
In my stateroom’s bathroom,
for example,
the makeup mirrors were hung
where I could see into them.
(The average US woman
is 5 inches shorter
than
the average US man.)
There was a footrest
in the shower
so I could easily shave
my legs.
Life jackets were stored
where I could reach them.
These things might seem
small
but they were game changers
for me.
I’ll notice
when other ships don’t have them.
That will influence
my vacation ‘buying’ decision.
Add women to
your product design teams.
Game changers don’t have
to be huge differences.
