A wise mentor once told me
whenever I considered
an action,
I should also consider
the possible reactions
to that action.
He told me to assume
everyone else was as intelligent
or MORE intelligent
than I am.
If I lower my prices,
for example,
my competitors are likely
to lower their prices
also.
Do I still want to take
that action?
We’re seeing that today
with the U.S. trade war.
Slap tariffs on another country’s goods
and they will slap tariffs on U.S. goods.
And we’re seeing that in other policies.
Make it acceptable for a bakery
to deny a customer based on personal beliefs
and that makes it okay
for you to be denied service
based on another business owner’s
different personal beliefs.
Every action you take
will cause a reaction.
Consider all of the possibilities
before doing anything.
