I belong to a writing organization
that doesn’t really like
Indie writers.
They never say that.
They will often say
the opposite.
But they ignore Indie writers.
There will be a question
on a loop.
Writers will answer it.
The writers with publishers
will get a reply.
The Indie writers
won’t.
This happens again and again.
And eventually
the Indie writers go away.
This happens to commenters
on social media also.
I’ve seen posters only respond
to the commenters they like.
They ignore the other people
and eventually those people
stop commenting.
They go away.
People who are ignored
will eventually go away.
If that’s wanted, great.
Mission accomplished.
If that isn’t wanted,
it is time to look
at why they are being ignored.
